Hi guys,

I already owned a top of the range Asko made maytag washing machine and tried hard to find a matching dryer. I stumbled upon this matching set and my darling hubby said I could have them as a birthday present! šŸ˜ŠšŸ‘ we have just bought a house which has a separate laundry cupboard and they will look fantastic stacked in our new home!

The washer is very similar to the other maytag I have. Exceptionally flexible. 6kg 1600rpm spin, options include a 2 hour soak, a 7 rinse anti allergy rinse, an economy option which extends the cycle without the need for higher temp. Some very reasonable programme lengths you can even programme the super quick cycle from 0-95deg and 1600rpm!

The dryer is fantastic! I've never owned an Asko dryer, I was very excited and not disappointed!

It has an actual moisture sensor which is very precise unlike normal condenser dryers which measure electrical resistance to determine if the load is dry. It has a double filter, a quick cool option which can cool the load in 5 minutes and it claims the low heat setting is safe to dry anything. It's also very quiet!

Visually I think they are stunning!

And of course the washer has a separate chassis which means it is independent from the cabinet so out of balance spins can be very dramatic and entertaining yet the machine does not move an inch! There is no door seal just a seal on the door glass like a commercial machine.

I adore these machines!

Any questions fire away!

Asko is one of my absolute, favorite front loaders. I have had six different sets. Not here in Hawaii, but back in Orlando and Longwood,Fl. The last ones,my washer had seven deep rinses and up to an intense 1800 rpm final spin. It heated the incoming wash water up to 200°F.I liked the way it was designed where the entire chasis was suspended. Great machines. Fun to watch.

YEAH!

These are rather impressive looking, understated controls stainless steel cabinets......with a good reputation got to be a winner

I'm very mindful ISE are the only domestic machine I could buy made by Asko. However I could buy a semi professional one brand new branded whirlpool of primus with a 240volt supply but it would cost £1000+

I think you've just been unlucky Richard unfortunately.

My machine the same as yours was flawless the entire time it was in daily use.

Hopefully you'll get sorted!

Wow

Hi Darren.

What a lovely pair of machines. They both look very stylish and well made. Love the Bosch too, lovely machine.

Problem. The machine is only doing one fill at the start of the wash and not refilling. Most of the load is dry. Were 5 minutes in now and it hasn't refilled where as my other machine would have refilled by now. There is a way around this by pressing stop and start and topping the water up to requirement but this is not always practical. The rest of the cycle completes ok. Any suggestions as someone here is keen to buy my other askotag and I'm reluctant to let her go for obvious reasons....

Help!

Fills Once, then Stops

If you haven't already, give it time.Ā

Ā

Sometimes, it takes up to 10 minutes for our Miele to completely sense the load, top off the water, and get to work.Ā

Ā

Otherwise, try some other cycles, or perhaps ring your authorised servicers.Ā

Fill Issue

The second Maytag I had did this, and we would get to 14 mins in when the heater would want to start and the heater would end up tripping out because the water level was not high enough and you could hear the heating element hissing away like a kettle. It would then trip and it would advance onto the rinse stage very quickly.

Second Maytag I am now using that has the main PCB from the first Maytag (had to get rid as the drum bearing was loose and noisy) seems to be much better and have only noticed that it doesn't heat the water if there has been a power interruption.

These issues are annoying to diagnose. Even the 2nd Maytag doesn't fill again sometimes until nearly 10 minutes in, but if High water level selected always does another fill of water at bang on 14 minutes in and then water heating commences.

Have you checked the water level with no clothes in at all to see where its at? Perhaps you need to put this through a boil wash?

Well I managed to find an identical machine which was sold as faulty but the seller who was selling on behalf of a friend didn't know what was wrong with it. The answer is nothing! I got a fully working machine for £23! It is in better condition than the original So I will break the first machine down for parts! I'm chuffed to bits!
