Cats on the loose:

I don't mind cats outside in their own back yard, but when they come over and start using my landscaping as a litter box (killing the plants in the process) Or when they think the air vent below the windshield of my car is also a litter box, and have fights at night, I get rather angry.

Most people aren't aware (or don't even care) that the local leash laws apply to cats as well.

My sister has a great idea. She has 4 cats. And she also has coyotes so she has a large wireframe kennel that she puts out on her patio if the weather is nice. She just puts the cats in the kennel so they won't get hurt. This way they can safely enjoy the outdoors.

Last week our shelter took in over 200 cats. Add this to the 1200 we already have. Our shelter was pleading with people to foster the pregnant cats until at least when they stop nursing.

You have a very handsome kitty there. I am sure you will have a lot of fun with him!

Ross,

Here's a picture of the 10-year-old cat that we adopted from the local shelter. He's resting on the couch; he will jump on the lap of whoever is sitting in this spot. Also enjoys sitting on the back of the couch in the sun. Now if he would only get along with our other cat.....

Ross, your new cat could pass as a twin for our Chyna who we lost a couple years ago to cancer.

Fred, your cat is adorable too, looks very content.

Ross, she is so cute!! I know she is going to have a great home, what a lucky little kitty.

Hey Ross!!

Can't wait to see you next month! I love cats, but they don't love me...(allergic) I will make sure I dose up on the Claritin!

Say hi to Roger..

Ross, here's a picture of Chyna. I love this pic, didn't realize she stuck her tongue out until the pictures were developed, she was a little spitfire up to the very end.

My kitty..........

Here's a couple of photos of my cat Puff-Puff..... she is 14 years old now. My wife got her while a kitten back in 1996 when we were engaged - I had lost my 17 year old cat, also named Puff, a year earlier and she had two dogs when we met and she thought I should have a cat since I'm more a cat person than a dog person.

I shouldn't do this so much but, I almost live in fear of loosing this cat too since she is up in years for a cat and the thought of it is so depressing - try not to think about it. She is not in bad health and may very well see 18 or 20 years - certainly hope so!

It's amazing how attached we become to our animals and the loss, when it happens, is like loosing a family memeber and in a way that's exactly what happens - they are so much a part of our lives..... stability in a world very much lacking in that area these days.

Sorry - not meaning to be a downer today on this issue - just that it comes to mind more than I would like these days. Ross your new cat is lovely and I do hope that you have many, many, many years together and I look forward to many more with mine!

About my cat photos........

I'm posting these from my work computer and pulled them off my Facebook page and could not get them to convert to JPEG they are in Bitmap format so you may have to use the Paint app or something similar to open if the photos don't show up for you here on AWorg.

Ross what a nice looking cat i hope she will bring you great joy !
I know mine do , still want to see your washers.
Here is a pick of Pepi.
