So I have been searching for some more colorful stoves... and the stove stork brought me this beautiful 1956 GE two-oven stove right out of its original (and very cool) 1956 stone rambler... just unloaded from the van so pardon some grease, but it is really clean overall and even has the inspector tags on the one side! Just about my favorite stove color! And it is fully functional, we were able to test it (finally) when the power came back on after Irene blew through... and load it just as Lee was moving in for the week and the rains were beginning. Today was the first sunny day to unload it from the van and finally appreciate it.

Thanks guys... I have only seen one other of this model in this color... I see them in yellow, pink, and cadet (cobalt) blue, but I think the aqua largely came later than this model. I'm looking forward to cleaning her up and making her a driver in my downstairs kitchen... unless of course I could find a matching fridge and dishwasher for my upstairs kitchen :)

Yes it has the original automatic burner control, it appears to work... we only tested it briefly before loading, the burner comes on, and the temperature sensor/switch appears to work... the only issue appears to be that the 'automatic calrod' indicator light on the dash (where the buttons are for the other burners) is partially melted. So far I have this stove in white, cadet blue, and now the aqua... and I am working on getting a pink one... with yellow yet to be found! It may have also come in woodtone (the light brown/coffee color) but I have only seen one in the less deluxe model in that color.
