Hi, everyone.
I believe this is only my second post here. Two years ago I had and then sold an N2L because it needed work, regretted it, and now...
I had to share my find with people who would appreciate it, before anyone else sees this lovely machine, and questions why I would get something as inconvenient as this! Isn't she pretty? (I hope the pics uploaded.)
My five-year-old daughter thinks I bought it because it's pink, her favorite color. Guess I'll leave it to her in my will. Haha
I haven't put it through its paces yet, but will soon. I wanted to admire for a bit longer, before possibly discovering problems.
Now to the practical matters. What will clean caked grease off the wheel with the brake? I think that's grease.
And I know I could figure this out myself, but I'd be glad for suggestions on what to use as a rinse tub...or two. what size bucket.
For the moment, we're in an apartment and I don't have a utility sink. Whatever I use will need to be carried a short distance to empty. Can't use the bathtub, because the nearest outlet doesn't work.
And how much water should I be using for a wash, up to what level in the machine?
Oh, also... I have a nice Whirlpool, maybe 15 years old, allows the lid to stay open while the tub fills and agitates, which is very handy. I miss it, but I couldn't install it here, and so it's in storage.
The apartment has a new impeller HE machine, which I loathe! Takes about a year to complete a wash, and makes funny noises. I usually enjoy doing laundry, but not like this. I wonder why the machine is full size and so tall, when it doesn't fill with water all the way, and so could be half the size.
I have wanted to look around for another wringer for a year now, and dealing with this inadequate joke of a washer finally made me do it.
Thanks for any help!
