Hi Everyone,

I thought I would share a few pictures and some video of my new Miele La Perla II dishwasher. I have to say that this is one fabulous dishwasher. It blows that Kenmore Elite right out of the water. I hope you enjoy the pictures and video.

Ah so thats what you yell everytime I post a pic of mine huh...lol. I have the Miele LaPerla as well and I love mine. You will have her for a very long time. This is a dishwasher that will last 20+ years. I am going on 2 years now with mine and I can say that the dishwasher runs flawlessly. No rusting racks and everything is very durable. I have been using the Sensor Cycle lately and I am quite impressed with the results.

Fame Whore?

Well Eugene, I gladly accept that moniker. lol. I love this dishwasher.

Mike, I am going to have to give the sensor wash a try. So far I have used Normal, SaniWash, and Heavy Soil. All have given spectacular results.

Gary, yeah Miele isn't a cheap machine that's for sure. But surprisingly enough I haven't had the slighest bit of regret spending the money.

Rapunzel, the dishwasher is connected to cold water. And it actually doesn't take any longer than my old machine connected to hot water. Go figure.

Does the machine run on 110V or 220V? I have a Bosch dishwasher with both hot and cold intakes, and therefore it works with 110V. Do all La Perla machines use cold water only, or are there two versions?

Miele

I own a Miele Incognito dishwasher and LOVE IT!

They are the best built dishwashers in my opinion!

110v or 220v

Hi Jim, the dishwasher runs off of standard 110v. All the installer had to do was move the wiring over to the cabinet and install the outlet ( Miele does not allow for hard wiring like most dishwashers ) as well as tap into the cold water line.

Christopher, I agree with you; these have to be the best built and well thought out machines on the market today. This dishwasher is so quiet that the air coming through the register on the other side of the kitchen totally drowns out what little noise there is. I literllay have to press my ear up on the door to hear it.

I cannot wait to have my little dinner party on Saturday. I can fill it up with all my prep dishes and run it while we are eating then unload it and fill back up with all the china and crystal. I do feel like a kid at Christmas with this machine.

On my Miele LaPerla the installer connected the water inlet to the hot pipe. The water solenoid is at the connection point for the water. This dishwasher can go either way hot or cold connection. As far as the wiring goes I had the outlet already under the sink since this dishwasher replaced a POS Fisher&Paykel dishdrawer. On my dishwasher I dont have that feature where the door pops open. I also dont have the add a dish notice. I should give Miele a call to see if there is an update available for my machine.
Chris you will really love your machine when you see how much it can hold and how versatile it truly is. When you use the Tall Items cycle take out the upper rack and take out the silverware tray. Then you can place oven racks and refrigerator shelves in the machine. Both the top and bottom arms operate and at a very high water pressure. It will scrub anything clean and there should be 2 Tall Items cycles...one with heat tahts called Tall Items soiled and one regular Tall Items and that will run without heat. I have used the Starch cycle and Cheese cycle...they manipulate the cycle and water heat to the type of food that is left on your dishes, pots and pans. This dishwasher is very versatile.

Versatile

Yes, I am learning that this machine is very versatile. Everyone who has seen it this week has loved it. They all have really liked the Silverware tray up top. I love it too as my flatware has never been cleaner. Or as shiny. On this model there is only one Tall Items setting and that is the soiled setting. Good idea about the oven racks, I never gave it a thought. So far this is its fourth load that I have done, in fact it is washing away right now. I'll post some pics later of the first load I did in it later on.

Chris
