My new neptune project

I have to say I've sampled some of Martin's offerings. As interesting and unique as some of them are..... I'm afraid I'd have to pick the Neptunes as my preferred daily drivers. I love how the controls essentially let you put together your own cycle, sort of like the 806 HippieDoll recently acquired.

However, not all of us have the luxury of space to have such a collection. However, I have a solution. Below is a pic of me with my lust object. You'll have to excuse my expression. We'd just finished spending some quality time together;-)

I would have sold my soul to have a Maytag Neptune back when I was younger. That's when we had just gotten our Atlantis MAV6300, which I adored and is still going now at my father in law's. Those brochures for the Neptune at the time had me salivating though. I'd have made a place for a second washer in that old house we lived in, lol. If I had the chance to get one now I'd jump in a heartbeat, though I could only hope that I would hit a lucky strike and find one that was well cared for, and we all know how unlikely that normally is.

That stacked unit is beautiful though!! I can look at the picture and just hear the sloshing of that balance ring; takes me back to when Tuscumbia, AL had a true Maytag store. I'd beg to go to Spring Park just to walk up the hill and go in the store, and I'd always have to open one up and turn that tub by hand and loved the sound it made.

Martin, your  Neptune Studio is Fantastic!  It would be awesome to hear them all running at once.

I have always had such a soft spot for the Maytag Neptune Front Loaders.  They really got America

into the swing of all the Front Load designs we now have.  I will always remember seeing them on

the primer launch at the various stores.  I was so excited that front load washers that were being

showcased from such an American Washer Institution such as Maytag!

Jim...glad you like it!...yes it recently needed struts..(covered by the home warranty)...but it works great and saves space!
