Maytag dishwasher, and I think that's a Magic Chef range? I can't make out the logo on the refrigerator. They look like nice appliances! Did they all come out of the same kitchen?
Oh for heaven's sake...get out the Windex. That's Harvest Gold (or almond from a kitchen where everything's been fried in an inch of Wesson for the past 30 years.)
I've been working on a shaded Harvest Gold Maytag dryer lately and the color looks like the lighter area found in the center of the front panel. Light can have a dramatic impact on the way the color appears. In this photo with the panels sitting in shadow the color looks much more subdued than it is.
That's an interesting test. I missed 2 of them. I think computer monitors all tend to look a little different depending on how they're adjusted. I haven't seen all that many almond appliances so what do I know? I was just having a little fun with this thread.
I don't think it's my monitor, but I think the problem lies in the original photo of the appliances. I think the only true way to tell what these are is to put a almond panel and a harvest gold panel in the same area as those appliances and then reshoot the photo. Then we could have something to compare.
I think the problem is with the lighting conditions that were in effect at the time of the original photo shoot even though the light source appears to be overhead and bright enough. The color could be a very "weak" gold color.
I was having some fun too with the colorblindness test as well. That's interesting that you missed two on the colorblindness test. Have you ever been checked for this before?
Another way to check the color out is to look at the model number plates of those appliances. Usually appliances have the color added to the end of the model number. See if any of those model numbers end in G or HG.
