Hi All,

Well we bought a new place and this beauty came with it. It's in excellent condition. Not quiet but sounds powerful!!

Neat!

Very nice machine!

It actually looks like the predecessor to the machine I used over Christmas with relatives in Norway! I'll dig up the thread for you, if you like. Although it kinda shows the "downfalls" of EU machines - that is a lack of product evolution.

Ah well! Good find, anyway. Use it in good health!

Miele 527!!!!!!!

My Mum & Dad have the exact same model but in brown trim. It has been in daily use for 20+ yrs. Only service was a new timer about 6 yrs ago. Mum uses Aldi Logix tablets and what ever rincwe aid is cheap. It uses a cold fill and will clean anything. You can set an extra rinse by turning a screw on the left hand side of the door.

Intuitive ......

Is there a second screw slot on the left side of the door that adjusts the water level ? Found one on a similar machine it was in a kitchen with poor water pressure and turning the screw made it stop cavitating which it had been doing for a long time the housekeeper used to throw a jug of water in and that was ok while standing near by its still going now I believe and I found out about the screws 14-15 years ago.
Brilliant machines real workhorse.

28 litres from memory for the Universal programme

Thanks Foraloysius. I will use this for a while and then probably install my G 2834 SCi later. There are two switches on the left hand side, one to raise the water level if the incoming water pressure is low and the other to add a second interim rinse. These machines use 7 litres per fill. If memory serves me, I have an old brochure on this model that states the pump circulates 11,000 litres of water during the Universal programme.

Congratulations!!!!!!!

You are so lucky!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish you all the best for your new place and
I am sure that this beauty is in good hands now and gets all the attention that deserves!!!!!

I would give everything for having one!!!!!!!!

Used Gentle 50°C

It took 1 hr 20 mins to complete the cycle. It's connected to cold water. The heater is 1.8 kw, so not bad considering. The wash pump is rated at 600 watts.

600 watts? O_o

I have a service manual for the G500 Series dishwashers and most cycles are listed as around 60 minutes with hot water going in and the powerful Euro heater rating. Comparing that to today's energy efficient Miele dishwashers - even the Normal 55C cycle for daily use takes almost two hours.
