I am kicking myself for forgetting to bring my memory card back from Ogden, but WOW did I have an interesting weekend! On Friday night after work, I hit the road - I headed down to Ogden to drop the dog off with a neighbour, then began my pilgrimage down to Cape Cod. After months of planning, I finally was able to meet Eddie (toploader55) and pick up a KitchenAid Electra top-loader he had in 'foster care' for me. He had picked the machine up for me and very patiently waited for me to come and get it - well, I finally did! It was great getting to meet in person and I was priviliged to get a demo of his stunning Frigidaire WO-65 washer! After that visit I headed up to Worcester to get my KA dream dishwasher - a KDC-P2 portable from Gregm! I then drove back to Ogden, unloaded the machines, and went to pick hubby up after his trip to Mexico. I was FRIED by 9 PM...
Now, this all sounds wonderful but the happy news was tempered by disaster... A load of sheets I threw into the Westy L5 washer resulted in a dropped wash tub! OUCH! I took photos of the 'accident' and I will post them next week, hopefully along with the repairs... Never a dull moment... Between yard work and getting the house ready for hubby's mother's visit later this week I did manage to throw a bucket of hot water into the KDC-P2 dishwasher and test it. It works beautifully! I put a piece of plexiglass over the top to check out the water action and Oh My! No wonder everyone here calls the KitchenAid dishwashers 'a hurricane in a box'... More photos and perhaps a video will follow, I promise!
