Want to post a BIG thanks to Alan --bigalsf-- for sending me a timer for my classic SHU 5001 dishwasher.  I really appreciate it.  Hope I can return the favor someday to someone here.

 

Anyway here are a few pictures of the now fully functional unit, overall it's in VERY good shape except for one issue I need to deal with.

One issue need a bit of work thought...

 

I seem to recall someone posted a product to repair rusted porcelain on steel, have to look it up.

Whirlpool Dishwasher!

This is a very nice dishwasher. My Aunt had the du5003 very simular but the first power clean series. Can you take a closeup of the control panel.

I haven't done anything to the tub yet.  I recall a thread a few weeks back on the subject, don't recall the product.  Was it JB Weld?

 

I'll have to check that out.
