Size and weight
Hey Chris,
The machine weights 200lbs which is about 94kg, so compared to a lot of the stuff I move, particularily the GE, Norge and Simpson Fluid drives, its as light as a feather
Its at Mums at the moment until I clean up a bit here, but I'll measure the pulleys when I take out the Motor.
The machine cabinet stands as tall as a GE with the control panel. The footprint is about the same as the GE.
We found one during the last curbside collection, but it was full of rust and a huge mess. It did have pink knobs rather than red however. By the time I had convinced Michael to go back and get it, it was gone.
I don't have any ad's relating to this machine, but it would be cool to see them.
The whole machine is aluminium, the inner and out washbowl, the out panels. I'm assuming that's why there is some corrosion rather than rust.
I'm just amazed at how simple the machine is. Its not a design that could've been made automatic easily though.
The wash tub is angled at about 10/15 degrees, so its unique in all respects for its age. Were there any other FL machines that had an angled tub back then?
