I'm not sure if this fits into the "rock" category or not, but I've ALWAYS been a fan of The Beach Boys. My favorite hit of theirs has to be "Surfin' Safari". I guess the "water" theme is why I think their songs are the absolute best "vintage washing music" there is, no matter what you're using...Norge, Bendix, Westinghouse, Kenmore, Kelvinator, Frigidaire, you name it, they go right along with the rhythm of the machine!!!
