Hi folks. I was hunting for an old dryer motor and found this listing on eBay. I used to have a National Coop portable dishwasher a long time ago. This looks like it might be a brand new pump and motor for that old thing so I thought I would post it in case anyone has a machine it fits. Or I am wrong and maybe it is off of something else.

Early Whirlpool pump

I believe this pump is for Whirlpools first spray arm dishwashers. One of our members, Turquoisedude, has a version of the machine that would use this pump (the Telephone Dial timer control).

Paul, you should check out this part and grab it as a backup for your machine.

WP Dishwasher pump

Alan, that's it alright!  Also used on a 1961 WP portable that I have.  I think I have to have this for sure!!

Gorman Rupp, dishwasher pump

These were used on a number of early washarm Dishwashers, whirl pool has already mentioned use this pump from 1958 through 1963 on their better dishwashers.

It was also used on Thermidor dishwashers in the early 60s and Preway gas heater dishwashers, as well as the first Maytag top loading portable dishwasher.

It was a very good pump with a GE motor on it.

John.

SOLD!

To me... I put it on my eBay watchlist and *boom*, I got a 'special offer' from the seller for less than I was considering offering so I bought it!  The pumps on both the 61 WP portable and the 63 built-in seem fine but why take the chance, right??  LOL
