Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Great job

love seeing the pics of the process.
I peeked into mine when I first got it, but haven't ever put it to use due to the belt issue.
I love seeing the "Halo-of-Heat" element. These machines dry very quick and thoroughly, I find. But also very gently.
Wonderful little toys and great to see you taking such good care of it.

@ TwinTubber

Thank you very much, and the washer is also holding up very well, fortunately.

Thank you all

For your nice comments, I really hope to get one because the dryer is all in pieces, and it would be nice to have it running, which I could do, maybe if I wanted to take it apart and put it together ... AGAIN (which is not very difficult)

OMG!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!!

I was looking for a 'dryer timer motor' on eBay and I asw one very similar to the one on my dryer , so I searched dryer timer motor M001 and I looked at the pictures and it was the SAME ONE!!!!! Will be ordering it today, for only $18! You will see on the pictures that I posted earlier of what I'm talking about.

CONGRATULATIONS!!

on finding the timer you needed, and at such a great price! I'm sharing in your joy & excitement!
Can't wait until you get this baby up & running!

;o)

Well... Almost done

With help I hauled out this ANCIENT (and wet) analog copying machine out of a shed in the yard just for its cord... A look on it, and it pulled 15!!!! amps of current (a lot) and ,after frustration got it out, and you can see how HUGE it is compared to the old one and the splice in the middle of the old one got so hot you could barely hold on to it for no more than 10 secs but anyway there's a problem: the new cord has its own strain relief that's so big it won't fit into the hole! It looks like there is a knockout for a bigger strain relief but after hammering at it, it didn't budge so tomorrow I'll get in with a drill and other tools and make the hole , because that huge that it will not fit in the other hole but and you can also see the difference in the cord after I cleaned it up, and don't forget the new timer motor installed (working, tested prior of installation) so that problem is behind my back, and drum (and belt) is installed... But anyway... hopefully it will be running tomorrow... Maybe

once you get this cute lil dryer...

Up & running, you'll see how gratifying the feeling of accomplishment is that you will experience.

I'll be waiting to see when you post that you've got this puppy up & running (or should I say "tumbling"?)!!

;o)

Poly Belt

So did you source another belt for the blower? Just curious, glad you got that timer going. Such neat little dryers and they dry very well.

Well...

Sorry for the delay, I had phone trouble and the pictures were on my phone. Ok I never got a belt, but I have 3 HUGE o- rings that serve as the belt , and they're tight enough that they don't slap the belt cover!!!! About the timer: I did get it to work, but there's a major problem: it runs BACKWARDS!!!!!!!!! *sigh* about the cord I did get the hole drilled, but I could never get it to fit and I just used a screw type one. Here are some pictures. Oh well, it works again except for the timer , but better than no timer at all

very good!

The screw-type thing works just as good (I think? ) because that's the kind that is on my maytag DE808 dryer and my dad's DE308 too! So if they're good enough for the full-size dryers, I'm pretty sure it'll be good enough for your DE50 portable/compact dryer too.

Glad you got it up & tumbling now...

:o)
