Hi all,
I have a Samsung dryer DV56H9100GG/A2 and the drum felt seal has torn and needs to be replaced. Unfortunately, I’ve been all over the Internet and cannot find anything for my drum part number DC97-17966A. Although they have other felt seals for other size drums did you not have one for mine. A new drum cost $500 plus $250 for shipping which is crazy as I can get a new machine for that. I’ve been keeping this one alive by fixing every little thing wrong with it but unfortunately I’m at a loss for a $23 part which they don’t seem to make.
OK here’s my question. Can I make one myself from a longer piece of felt seal? My seal has a circumference roughly 84.823 inches. Does anyone know who makes them? Are there any other alternatives?
