As for shipping.....
I recently sold a KA dishwasher to someone in Maryland and they were to arrange shipping.
They found someone on UShip, about 2 weeks ago, who was going from Minneapolis to Florida, driving an SUV. They picked up the DW and delivered to him for $275. Apparently this party transports pets for people and they were picking up in FLA.
The key may well be patience. When I sold the dw, I told the party it was no rush, they paid for it, the item was safe here until they figured what they wanted to do, and it took them about a month to figure out their plan and to find someone.
Once you've shipped a few items, you get to know the routine and you make contacts of shippers. I've used UShip several times now, for various items. It's a good service.
How people got by, years ago, without such services as Craigslist, Ebay, Angieslist, Uship, RVTrader, and similar....?
