Need Whirlpool Gold LSB6500P Washer DIAGNOSTIC Repair Expertise

PROBLEMS:

1- Neutral Drain dose not work any long...spins drain instead of emptying tub before the spin cycle

2- Basket would not spin during spinning phases of spin cycle...periodically had
to push-start the tub

3- Washer was making a "WAG-WAG BUZZING" sound while agitating and spinning

4- washer has stop working...only fills the tub...just a second it's agitating again after stopped functioning for 20-25 minutes

Does anyone have any ideas? What needs to be repaired?

Sounds like you have a few issues.....neutral drain not working isn't a problem.
If you start the tub by hand when trying to spin, it sounds like you need a clutch kit. If washer fills, then stays idle (no motor sound or timer motor sound) you could have a loose connection in the timer or a bad lid switch. I think your model's lid switch comes into play during drain/spin, not agitation. If it fills, then stops, try jiggling the timer knob side to side and/or up and down to see if it starts. Raspy wah wah sound sounds like tranny gears slightly grinding. Hope this helps!

Thanks very much Coldspot66, I do need to replace the lid switch because a piece is broken off from it.
Weirdly, I was able to adjust/position it for a spin-out of water that was left in the tub...checked to see if it would agitate

... does not agitate...looked at some Direct Drive washer repair videos, looks like the neutral drain system is shot ( it supposed to stop the clutch from spinning the tub) while it drains
...which is inside the transmission...not sure if I should bother replacing the neutral drain kit or just get a new or used good transmission.

I'd really love to find/get a 70's GE filter flo washer...hard finds in NYC

Hey Coldspot66, the lid switch was broken...replaced and installed new one...started to spin again (yay!) but, did not reach the max spin speed then it stopped spinning...when it tries to start up...there's a click, than a humming sound...clicks again then stops

Could be the motor is kicking out on overload.

I'm going to get rid of it...I'm looking for a 1971 or 1972 GE extra large capacity washer or set to replace it
