Jamie, I"m an equal opportunity frustration giver. Remember, Robert wanted to take a hack-saw to his 1960 or 1961 Frigidaire top rack to make it more accommodating for his pots? And I told him I thought one was supposed to preserve the integrity of a classic/vintage machine with original looking as possible? Well, I'm glad you had fun. But you have destroyed a wonderful agitator on a classic Maytag. And to me, this action is even worse now because of what will most likely happen to Maytag if/when the Whirlpool acquisiton goes through. And those Turqoise agitators don't grow on trees anymore. If you had to have hacked at an agitator, why not have done it one an agitattor that didn't have a filter cartridge like this one had.
