Robert, I've surfed past this video a few times in the past week due to its length. Thanks for advising on how far to FF for the reveal. I absolutely hate my LG smart-ass TV, so any avoidable functions are appreciated.

I believe that very Philco was at an auction which was at the early television museum in Ohio sometime last year. Always amazes me what is still out there new in the box.
Ironically, my great grandfather on my father’s side of the family had a electronics and appliance store in Fallbrook CA, may have even sold those when new back in the day, but I’m sure the RCA and Zenith televisions were more popular since they were easier to repair and service.
Even sold a Frigidaire and Whirlpool appliances as well, possibly Maytag.
Unfortunately, my great grandfather closed up shop in the late 60’s since he retired.

Very cool
1st try failed to work,they took the chassis out and found several large power resistors had corroded and were open circuit from corrosive outgassings of plywood cabinet and cardboard trapped for decades.With the bad resistors replaced it kind off worked for a short time then lost picture.3rd repair a bunch of paper capacitors,including some bumblebees,and a few other parts were replaced and set is working
