Well don't know how real the advert was
But someone in WI claimed to have *two* NIB Maytag wringer washers (one each round and square tub) and only wanted "$300/OBO". No pictures but those interested were invited to reply for details. Seller also offered to "text" photographs.
Listing only lasted a day before seller removed, so one cannot say if the thing was legit or not.
I'd give $300 give or take for a NIB Maytag. But surely am not going to pay that much for a used wringer washer even in like new condition. Quite honestly think even $125 is pushing far. Even then it had better be a stunning specimen with all the bells and whistles in working order. That or come with some NIB spares as well.
Was reading over an old (1960's) issue of Consumer Reports online and they still were on a war over wringer washers. Was amazed that many brands were still being produced by then but CR hated them all mainly because of the dangers presented by the mangle. CR went on if one *had* to have such a machine at least go with one of the few brands that had safety features like "balloon" wringers and or other features like the various fingertip controls that would stop the mangle and or allow one to pull the items (or one's hands, hair, etc...) backwards or whatever to get out if caught.
