My latest 'toy' LOL. Maybe now I'll find a Tappan dishwasher to go with it...

I can't believe that I found this one - brand new, still in the box, never used and it seems to have all the paperwork with it. No damage in storage seems to have occured either; gasket is nice and pliable still.

It's a model 51 0057, but I can't determine the year from anything on the machine itself. I'm figuring this one was made by Anaheim - it looks very much like the Monkey Wards disposers from the early 60s (Westinghouse disposers were made by Anaheim at some point, too, IIRC).

Guess my poster inspired me on this one... LOL

I am glad you got that disposer. I was thinking about buying it myself but I found another one that was too good a deal to pass up..
I have a Caloric that is kinda similar but your is much better than mine.
Yes that is a Anaheim made disposer. I have a 1975 Sink Master disposer that's kind of a cross between yours and a new Waste King.It is made worlds better than the ones out today.
Great Find

1960s Tappan disposer

Neat find, but the box is probably the best part LOL

You can see how cheaply made the shredder ring and the turntable are made you can hear the bearing rattling on a brand new unit. It wouldn’t last long if you used it may be a couple years at best.
