Mr Sparkle- When staff wash bedding and towels we will use the appropriate cycle (ie-hot and long) but residents never take it upon themselves to wash their own bedding. It is only their own clothes they will wash so the argument about things not being sanitsied on a Fast wash won't hold much sway (believe me, i've been there and had the discussion before, lol)
Zodawash- You're completely right about the dryers, i couldn't believe after washing a load of tea towels and putting them in the dryer, of which wasn't half full, after setting it to 'Bone dry' the towels were still considerably damp when it had finished, sometimes you have that moment where you check the laundry and think "Is it damp or is it just me imagining it is?" but there was no question these still needed a good 30mins or so more. Perhaps the quality of the sensors in the dryers is to blame? All i know is that when i walk in the door after work and see my Miele pair staring back at me in the utility room it makes me grateful for what i have, lol.
