Well, I got my hands on a bag of the new Ariel powder. And here's the three biggest changes:

1.) It's "Made in the USA by Procter & Gamble"

2.) It's smells different, similar to Tide Mountain Spring.

3.) It's concentrated, so you use a 1/2 cup for a medium load

No more "Oxyanillos". And there's a Gain Floral Fusion that smells similar to Ariel Excel Gel. Better than the Ariel's fragrance.

Also some interesting news: Spray N Wash will be no more. We have some triggers & refills bearing only the Resolve brand.

Although I no longer use Ariel, the thing I liked about it was that it smelled like a huge package of crushed Sweet-Tarts.

I use Spray 'n' Wash Stain Stick on shirt collars. Is it still going to be available under the Resolve brand name?

Hmm....

If you have Ariel made by P&G over there maybe we will get Tide over here again lol....

Interesting thought :)

Tide

Hi Seamus, unfortunatley not!!! it wont be allowed past EU controls due to higher quantities of certain ingrediants that are low levels in Ariel!!! That is unless the formula is changed for EU purposes and sale!!!

Will be interested to hear what you guys think about it!!!

Alas, ...I couldnt convince this customer to " Turn to 30"...Lol

New Ariel US powder

I saw it at Walmart. They also have Gain in a bag (Floral Fusion) as well.

I haven't seen any other SnW products with the Resolve name on the shelves other than the trigger and refill.

Spray N Wash

I called Reckitt Benckiser and found out that they will complete the transition later this year. All lines will still remain, It's still the same product and works just as well, I was told.

Also, RB reformatted it's Woolite line. Woolite for All Fabrics is now Woolite Complete.

And judging from what I've seen at work, the new Ariel & Gain bagged detergents aren't selling.

In my local Compare Foods found two random bags of Ace Naturals (Sabila Manzanilla - not sure what that means). Never saw it there before and the store manager wasn't sure how it got there. Nor could he tell me if it would be a regular product. So I bought the two bags and tried it, Does a nice job and while it smells a bit too strongly sweet for me, it rinses clean with slight residual odor.

Manzanilla means camomile in spanish.

Perfect if your clothes are too stressed, or agitated, or can't sleep well...

But don't try to make a tea with the powder LOL.

I can't understand these "food & beverages" detergents and softeners. Soon, after they can't find other fruits, mybe they will launch a softener that smell like barbecue or maybe bread.

I miss so much the Skip liquid from mid 90's, the brazilian Omomatic and the vintage Tide.
The brazilian Comfort softener used to have a fantastic scent. now it smells like those chinese scented ink pens.

Reckitt Benckiser

Has a habit of merging and or changing product lines across name brands, both within one regional area and even across nations.

Vanish line of stain removers and in wash products sold in the UK and EU were sold as "Spray n Wash" "Pink" tablets, powder, liquids and pre-treater.

Electrasol is now "Finish" which though once an American brand of automatic dishwasher detergent with decent enough sales, was slightly larger in sales for the EU/UK, so now one only will see the later and no more of the former.
