Hi guys

Some pics of new acquisitions that arrived Friday morning....both for myself and Nathan (Brisnat81)

Firstly, this gorgeaus Maytag A210 washer and D110 matching dryer. These came from a deceased estate. The serial number is 984173 JV which according to the information readily available...i date them as November 1982, 2 months short of their 30th birthday.

The 10 series Maytags were the first domestic Maytags sold on the Australian market. I know this is a standard capacity Fabric matic model but we didn't get any TOL versions until the Dependable Care range in 1994.

I'm VERY happy with them....all the washer needs is a new water valve and it'll just be like new!

Cheers
Leon

And the Bendix

This 1960's classic Bendix combo washer / dryer is for Nathan. It came from the same place as the Wilkins Servis and made financial sense for all the machines to come to my place in one delivery.

WOW Leon!

Those Maytags look in awesome condition! As does the Whirlpool!

Can't wait to see a load put through those!

Really nice finds - all of them! Your garage must be busting!! LOL

Congratulaitons!!!!  I love them all. Top loaders with heaters sigh!!!   Is there a way you could take a better photo so the writing around the 8 temperature buttons is more legible on the Whirlpool?  Very fascinated with that.  I"m assuming the 5 cycles are perm press, Normal, Gentle, Knits, and Super Wash?

Aussie Laundry

Another great selection for the studio, i do hope you are leaving space for those stackables...top loaders & heaters, do they 95d wash?? the Bendix is the same as Ricky50`s so will have a check with him to see what series boot will fit!!

Your models certainly do like Push Button Selection - looking forward to the vids!!

Congrats Leon!
I simply love the Whirlpool!!!

I'm not surprised to see they came with an heater as most of the  VTG Aussie TL machines, I know some were not provided with double fill for hot and cold water only cold though.... so my curiosity is if that whirlpool got the hot water inlet also, I'm almost completely sure it had it though......I just do not know very well Aussie machines....
Anyway amazing machines both Servis and Whirlpool! Congrats and compliments!

Hello may fan

Great machines there I have a bendix washer dryer of the same design, I did order some door seals but I haven't checked to see if they are correct as mine doesn't need it yet. If you search on here for my user name and bendix lt you should find all my adventures with it. There is a rubber seal from soap Shute to drum too this has to be air tight for the dryer to work. Don't forget to check the gear box for oil, a large syringe is easiest to fill it with. Any help please ask I have workshop manuals and instructions I can copy

Well done

Richard

YAY Leon!

Your newest acquisitions look wonderful. If you guys cannot find the exact boot the Bendix needs, you may be able to find one that is similar in size that will work with a bit of modification.

I love the Maytag's and the Wilkins Servis looks very cool. Cant wait to see it with a new control panel.

not provided with double fill for hot and cold water

Freddy, where on earth do you get your information from?

Leon may be in a better position to me to know, but I don't know of any top load automatic built in this country that didn't come with hot and cold connections.

Chris you're probably right......

I  think I have confused with Brazilian machines now that I think of it better........some new brazialian as old ones got cold water fill only I know, just confused brazilian machines with Aussie ones.....also I think I've confused it for   the fact of heating element as some brazilian ones I've read have heating element too.....you know it is not used  this in the USA,  I just confused  2 countries and    2 "facts" and particularities on the  machines of these places, machines and countries that I do not know well.

Please forgive me Gentlemen.

But I of course knew that it was common for  some aussie machines to have heaters.....I'm just not used to or know  them well,  nor I know Australia well, so  of course  I may get wrong and confuse on something!

Very cool machines to add to your collection Leon! The balance ring in the Whirlpool looks more rounded than ours ever did. I love the slightly different mod's the Aussie machines have.

The bendix!

The bendix washer and dryer is just so so beautiful I love it, I did not even know they had these in aus!
You are so so lucky Leon with all your machine!
I have yet to find one!

Does any one know where any appliance graveyards are in aus?
Thanks

Wow nice haul!

Love that rare speckling in the Kenmore tub! And That Servis Control panel is boss!!

That Bendix has the Dexter Stainless steel tub inside SOOO BOSSSS!! That machine is So Down Under! They used hex nuts around the door instead of Gulmite's!!

Even the door latch is on the opposite side!!

Okay what do the two dryer buttons do??

Can't wait to see it run!
