Generosity...

Kenneth, you will find that the overwhelming majority of the members here are extremely generous. All of us share the same love for appliances and will do what we can to keep another old beauty running. I have been the recipient of quite a bit of generosity as well. Kenny (Goatfarmer), among other members, have helped me out several times. Congratulations on your beautiful Maytags! They should serve you faithfully for years to come.

The finishing touch. Looks good!

BTW, that's the best way I knew to ship it without damage.

Maytag Center Dial LA208 Leak

My Maytag Center Dial LA208 has a small leak that appears on the floor in the back left corner when facing the machine. Not much, a couple of paper towels cleans it up. Thought it was the hose attachments since the leak is below the fill valve, but tightening the hoses did not help. Seems to show up during the wash cycle, or maybe first spin out. If anyone has ideas as to what may cause this type of leak, I would greatly appreciate it. No static leaks when not running. Wondering if easy or difficult. Many thanks, Ken

I think...

I had a maytag with that same leak...
I don't know the part name but if you lift the top of the cabinet open, it's attached to the side of the inside of the cabinet. The hose connects to it on both ends. Someone with more knowledge of the name of the parts will hopefully read my post and know exactly what I'm talking about.

It seemed like a pretty easy fix from what I can remember. Roger helped me.
Thank God for Roger!
:o)
