Hi Guys.

I wanted a front loader to go alongside the speed queen top loader as a daily driver. The reason I wanted a new machine was because I wanted a machine that would heat as I like to do my 60 and occasional 95 washes. Of course the Speed queen does not have a heater and I do not want to over use my vintage machines. I only wanted one of the cheapest machines around as not concerned about it lasting 20 years.

Below are pictures to show what I purchased.
Its running a synthetic maiden wash at the moment.

The only sad thing is that im going to have to get rid of a couple of other machines.

In the picture above she is doing a quick wash to clean the drum out.

Heres a couple of pics of the controls set for the maiden synthetic wash she is doing at the moment.

Wow,

very nice machine!
But I have to say that the duration for a synthetic cycle is quite long!
I saw some nice-looking Haier washers with big LCD display in Metro Italy for only 199 €, very cheap!!

Hmm.....

Hey Mark

Im thinking that may have LG family connections.....

Tis quite a smart machine- why have you got to lose 2 other ones to fit it in tho?

Haier from comet?

Hi
I've seen this in comet, is it from there?
How long is a 40* quick wash, with and without extra rinse?
please.
And, what's the highest temperature for the quick wash?
Thanks.

"What happened to the 1975 Hotpoint Top-Loader?"

Oi, Funguy - look more closely and you will see a cheeky peek of that particular beast in two of the pics! There's a corner of the white lid and a shot of three purple buttons...always worth checking Mark's posts in case he's caught a new angle of that old trouper! I do hope it's not one of the two that has to go (unless it finds a new owner down south willing to play the host with the most...I'll be camping out on the doorstep!).

Oh, erm, yes...I'm sure the Haier is a lovely new plaything!

Hi Jetcone.

The Sports wash is for sports wear but its a very short wash so im not really sure it would be good for sweaty items or say really dirty football kits. The instruction manual does not give any more info other than its for sports wear so its kinda confused me.

Hi Matty (x)

Thanks! I will hopefully get a vid ot 2 sorted for everyone.

Hi Nino.

Yes synthetic wash is quite long. All the everyday programmes (Cotton / Synthetics) are long.

Hey Seamus.

Its all a space issue. I got the 3110 so it meant one machine had to go and now I have the Haier so another has to go. I will hopefully only pass on one machine though and thats to be a Hotpoint twin tub. The 1509 will make up for not having a hotpoint twin tub as the 1509 is my "automatic" twin tub.

Funguy...As Al mentioned the 1509 is in 2 pictures!

Hi Mr 2 drums.

I am going to do a full list of programmes and times for everyone but to answer your question......The machine will not let you select the extra rinse option on the Quick wash cycle so the total time for a 40* Quick wash with Full load is 38 Minutes. Also the temperatures you can have for the quick wash are Cold / 30 / 40.

Hi Al!

At the moment the 1509 is staying with me.(sorry mate) It will be the Hotpoint twin tub and maybe the quartz that has to go.

Mark
