I too am interested in what the dishwasher sounds like.

For those that wanted to hear the Kitchenaid, I was able to make a short video of how the KDFE204 sounds. I peeled back the insulation and positioned my phone on the left side of the machine. Here is the link: https://vimeo.com/user177825217

No problem. Glad I was finally able to get around to doing it. Yes these motors are quiet. The only thing you can hear from the front of the machine is some spray, but you need to be within a couple feet of it to hear it and even then it is faint (at least with these ears). During the drain you have to be within a 4 feet or so to hear the motor. The loudest part about this machine is the water draining into my disposal. This would be a great machine for someone with an open concept house.
