New England Get-together

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

The pool water is VERY nice! We were able to fill it in only 5.5 hours overall thanks to the DPW and fire departments, so it's had time to heat.

And, the new diving board came in yesterday, so we're all set there. I'll pop a pic or two of the pool soon. Rich picked out a very nice looking liner!

See ya!

Get-together Swap meet!

Looking forward to seeing everyone! Will be packing up a few smaller washers that I've recently added to the collection to share with my appliance friends.

Also, in talking to Rich, we wanted to throw out to the group the idea of our old-fashioned swap meet/flea market. We've done this at previous get-togethers and it's a lot of fun. The idea is to bring those duplicates, triplicates, or just items you no longer want that you feel other appliance collectors would like and set up your wares. Usually, items go for little to no money, but hopefully someone finds that coffee pot or toaster or blender they've been looking for or whatever other appliance item you have.

Anyway, I know it's kind of late, but if there's any interest, post a response.

Can't wait to see everyone on Saturday.

Ron

Oh Ron, do you think that we would have enough wares to put out????? Yikes! I think it would be a lot of fun. I know that I have several things that I intend to pass along. Toasters, vaccum cleaners, tv, mixers etc...

I love to swap. Never know what you might have or find :-)

Looking forward to seeing everyone. Is anyone planning on staying at our house besides Ron?

Rich

Enough wares to put out, you ask? Oh, please, I'm one episode away from Hoarders!!!

C'mon, people, time to clean out those closets and other hiding places. Who knows? You might just go home with more than you came with -- hopefully, most of my stuff!!

Hey folks,

Just wanted to check my list and see if anyone else is planning on making it to the pot-luck this Saturday, 7/31. It's mainly to check for food purposes (how much pulled pork I'll make). But, we'd also like to know if anyone's planning to stay at the house as we have a couple of blow-up mattresses and some space to put them.

The last thing is how many people would like to be here for breakfast Sunday morning? I'll make up some Country Club Eggs (breakfast in a cassarole), et cetera.

Here's the list I have so far:

Bobby (bobbyderegis) + Matt(?)
Jerry (gfm8959)
Ron (Kenmore58) + overnight
Jason (Maytag63) +1
Tim (Shawn)
Rob (filter-flo_rob)
Jon (retro-man)
Scott (super32) +1
Louis (louvac) + Billy
Pete (peteski59)
Larry (cleanteamofny)
and possibly John Pinto (coldspot66)

Carol and Mary Jane will also be here.

And don't forget swim gear and a towel! Jon- here's that pic of the liner I mentioned. Looks even nicer in person as you'll find out!

Rich and Chuck: It's great to see the photos of the vintage machines and AW family members at a wash-in, but I really love seeing all the great food photos from your get-togethers! Have fun and take a lot of pictures, everybody!

Hey Gene,

We'll do our best, but I'm sure others will post pix as well!!

Scott, we'll have pulled pork and hot dogs here. Ron (Kenmore58) is having a little computer trouble, but asked us to post that he'll be bringing some sliced calzones and Italian potato salad.

Don't forget swimming gear y'all!

Chuck

Chuck,

Thanks for posting for me. Computer problem fixed! I'M BACK! As Chuck said, I'm making calzones and Italian style potato salad (does not contain mayonaise for those of you watching the calories).

Also, I've picked out a few goodies for the "Swap." So, bring money!!! Just kidding. I'm bringing some free, very low priced, and low priced items. Doing it mostly for the fun of it and to clean things out. So, look through those closets, etc., and join the fun!

Ron
