Hi all,

Gadget Gary and I were tossing around the idea of a fun activity such as a Perc-Off! What would that be? Well, we were thinking that since we have so many coffeeholics it might be fun to have everyone (who can) bring your favorite coffee maker (any type. new or vintage) and your favorite coffee (pre ground if possible). I will set up a large table so that we could try all types of coffee in all diferent makers! Sound like fun? Suggestions are welcome!!! Feedback is greatly appreciated!

You all are cracking me up!!!

I'm speechless but that's because I have my mouth full!!!!.....Relax...I'm eating dinner!

Will I need a round table for a circle perc? Please enlighten me!

Good to the last drop

You could have all kinds of activities at a perc-off. And people with names like Perc-o-Dan would show up. It reminds me of the Boil-in I had at my place for tea kettle enthusiasts. You could have competitions like the "Clean and Perc". So many possibilities.

Come one. Come all.

In total dead-pan seriousness, now. These events are the greatest, funest, safest things you can attend. Instant bonds. I am NOT kidding here, folks. And NO innuendos!

Not only is Massachusetts a magical place, as is our hosts' home, but the mix of love and companionship and comraderie is truly amazing.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get there if you have to don roller skates and latch onto the back of an 18-wheeler.

instead of .......

instead of having to much to "drink", we will all be "wired", hahahahah

we will all be

That's just the point!!! After the coffee event then we break out the vacuum cleaners. Since I have plenty of carpets, Evan will bring plenty of vacs and y'all will be humming at high speed, all I'll need is someone who likes to dust and someone who likes doing windows and "ta-dah" my cleaning is done! Then Chuck and I will feed you all dinner then kick you all home before the "crash" headache hits you!

Wow! and all it should cost is $10 in electricity!! YEAH.

I hope that you all know that I'm only kidding :-)...It will cost me $13.

Our hosts work hard on making sure we are enjoying!

So seriously. All of you lurkers and non-posters that follow COME!

I think it's a great idea to compare finds and catches!

These gatherings are good CLEAN fun. Unlike some *AHEM* posts it is very good-natured and innocent.

Toggles right!!

Though we have some off-color fun on this list, and sometimes it can go a bit over the edge, I can assure you that the wash-ins are just as described. I can tell you that I have made some very good friends because of the wash-in and I look forward to making more at the one in July!!

I honestly can say that I have never entertained a more polite, helpfull, good natured and fun bunch of knowledgeable people!

If you are thinking at all about coming in July....PLEASE DO!! I promise that you will come away with more than you ever expected. If you have any questions and would like to chat about them, I will be glad to give you a call or give you my number.

Hope to see all of you at our place!

My First experience

Rich & Chuck,

I am so looking forward to attending your wash-in as it will be my first. I appreciate you opening your home to all of your Automatic Washer club friends, and hope to imprint many 'Kodak moments' in my memory.
Thanks again for your generosity.

Gary

A Circle -Perc?????

Holy crap, what kind of wash-in is this anyway? Some of us are very meek and mild when it comes to percolating, and a circle-perc might just be too strong and robust. And good Lord, the smell of any burnt beans will detract from the delicate aromas that may waft through the air! No circle-perc for me, thank you all very much. Anybody up for foamy Turkish coffee??? :-)

So it should be interesting to see the different coffee-makers at the wash-in........

They say it this the world's most addicted-to substance [Coffee, not wash-ins :-) ]
