A wash in Virgin---ME!!

Hi Ritchie (irishwashboy). Welcome to the group. If you can make it to the New England wash-in in July you will have a great time. Plenty of food and fun and great people. Rich and Chuck and really GREAT HOSTS! We also did a gift swap at the last one. Great fun! Hope to see you there.

Ritchie,

I have to agree with Ray. We all had a wonderful time at the last wash-in. I've never seen a group of people, most of whom had met for the first time, instantly form a bond as quickly as I did at the wash-in.

Definitely try to make it out for the event. You won't be disappointed!!

Yankee Swap/Flea market at Wash-in

Well, before you know it, old friends will be reuniting and new friends will be made!!! Can't wait!!

We haven't discussed yet having a "Yankee Swap" as we did at the last wash-in. Any input would be appreciated on this.

Also, I was discussing this with Rich and he had another suggestion. How about an "Appliance flea market." In other words, gather all your duplicates, "needs-a-part" items, etc., etc. It's a great way to get rid of items not needed, maybe pick up an item or two that you've been looking for, etc., etc.

Let's face it, we've all got those "just had to have" items that we had second thoughts on. When done in the spirit of friendship, these swap meets can be a lot of laughs.

So, troops, post your thoughts. Only a few weeks before the summer social event of the season!!!

See you there.

Ron

Greg,

You can check with Chuck & Rich, but I'm sure whatever you bring will be delicious!!!

To the Group: Just a clarification on my last post about the "Antique Flea market," I'm sure that everyone understood that I was referring to small items (i.e., coffee pots, toasters, etc., etc.). I just didn't want you to get the impression I was going to set up a table and plunk down a '52 Norge on it.

Cannoli's and great friends...

I'll be there! The last wash-in was a blast...anyone who attended can attest to that. 1 day together and we were like old friends....now I am happy to say so many new great friends!

Well Ray....can't wait for the cannoli filling...lol. Ron...why can't you plunk a '52 on the table?

And of course...I'll bring something to eat but lobsters sound great! See you guys soon.

Can't Wait For the Wash-In!

Well, although I have a friend getting married that day in Dallas, I'm considering just skipping the wedding and heading out to NE for he wash-in. In fact, I think I will just take a few days off of work (it's been 4 years since my last vacation, and that was only 2 days!) and tour New England and nearby locations.

What are some things I should see while there? I'm thinking about checking out Mass, CT, Rhode Island and then going down into NYC for a couple of days. Maybe even checking out Philly while I'm there. Any suggestions? Any washer museums or collections I should see while I'm up that way?

This NE wash-in should not and cannot be missed. It should be a written law that everyone have this much fun at least once in a lifetime. See you in July!
