How much do you pay?

Those that know, to keep our mouths shut?? :)

You said it Veg!

Well.... I'm not free but I'm reasonable! LOL!!

Well we're waiting...

To say what you found is beautiful, is the understatement of the year (yes I'm in the know and I'm not telling)! I can't wait to see more pictures of it. What ever it may be that is.

Well here she is!

1956 GE Liberator! Found her sitting in a shop. She's in nice shape but needs a good cleaning! I think her name is going to be Emma! That is if her Godfather ( Cory ) says it's OK. I told Cory that if he can find my Sherwood green before we lay the tile out there then she'll be moving to Iowa!

Whoa!!! She's a beauty too! Gotta love that big, tall backsplash! Congratulations!

Now off to find the turquoise Filter-Flo to match it! :)

New find

Well Lady Bethann, I knew you were going to do it! I really love it,and I think it looks great with the contrast of the pink fridge. I know you want it all to match, however the contrast of the blue and pink look good together.

Congrats,
Rick

BTW did Dean say the "usual"? LOL!!

That's a NICE range! Love the color. The control panel looks just like the dashboard of the cars from the same era. Is the "radio like" panel on the bottom right (chrome panel with two knobs and what looks like a speaker and a tuning scale in the middle) actually a radio? Sort of hard to tell what it is, and it looks like it has all the controls for everytthing within the top row.

Jaune, that would be where you plug in the automatic grill. ;-)
I think it was an extra cost option, probably had a heat control like an electric skillet or griddle.

Please explain to me, it's been driving me crazy since Robert's one. There are 3 banks of buttons, but four burners. Am I missing a bank of butttons or where' the "knob"?

Bob, I'm no expert on this range, but the badge in the middle of the control panel is labeled "Left Front" and I think the script on it reads Automatic. I'm thinking the separate pair of controls beneath the GE emblem on the backsplash is for the left-front burner -- automatic temperature control.

Thanks guys!

Some of these questions I can answer! The ones that I can't Robert can because he has the exact same stove!

The thing that looks like a radio is the meat thermostat,(kind of looks like a speedometer)it's a cord that plugs into the inside of the oven and into your meat, it registers on the dial. It came with the cord. How cool is that? Why in the world wouldn't a manufacturer bring that back into play?
The plug to the left is for the griddle. It didn't come with the griddle ( Damn it ) so now I need to find one! ( Right!)
The automatic calrod thing ( the burner on the left front ) I haven't quite figured out yet! I know it's a heat minder type of thing, but I haven't had time to mess with it yet.
All the Pink appliances are staying in the downstairs kitchen. I think the Frigidaires would get pissed if I threw in a GE in the mix, plus there is no way it would fit. There's a range, built-in cooktop, built-oven, dishwasher and Gladys. Plus there is a place for the Pink Frigidaire W/D that I don't have.
Emma is going in the garage kitchen. Which the plan was Sherwood green in there. Which it could still be if I can find it before the tile goes in out there. The tile is going to be either black and turquoise, or black and green. That will be awhile, I have to finish the kitchen downstairs first. I couldn't pass this GE up! Pictures don't do it justice!
Thanks again!

59 Impala

What's that black object on the transmission hump? Vintage after-market A/C?

I don't know if that steering wheel holds a candle to the original classic one.

What's in that baby? 283 Powerglide? 348 Turboglide? (would be neat if it had a still-working Turboglide)
