Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Hi Chris!

Bit of a change from the hotpoint aqualtis!? Have you sold it? Diplomat are an MFI exclusive brand or were should i say. made by servis. My sister in laws father has just replaced his diplomat washer/dryer that was constantly aborting spins and didn't wash too well. Hopefully you won't be too plagued by it! The flexibility is good though.

If your able to you could do what i suggested they and my brother do as his intergrated machine has bearing failure. Buy a freestanding machine and put the door on if you get a slim machine like an indesit.

Darren

Well...

I reckon the kitchen dates from somewhere around 2002-2004.

We had ours done in London by B&Q and I have to say they did a fantastic job. The chap who fitted it was a plumber by trade. The corner sink unit we had meant we had a huge run of unobstructed benchspace and the fitout underneath for the (Bosch) dishwasher and (Blomberg) washer was beautifully done. Our cupboards, handles and benchtop were the same and we had vinyl timber effect flooring laid rather than floating floor which I don't like near potential water leaks...

Thanks for the pics....

Hey Darren,
The hotpoint is in storage for the time being....sort of missing it to be honest, although it is great that a 60*c cycle is done in an hr with the hot and cold fill!! I thought they were made by Servis - the controls and orange pilot lamp are all very similar.

I really dont like the dishwasher....it just doesnt seem to clean very well at all

Chris

We have an IAG badged later version of that dishwasher. The bottom basket layout is different, but it is a 'Servis' machine none the less...

I found that it just didn't wash properly with powder no matter which one I used. Once I switched to tablets and a 60c cycle it was fine to the point where I rarely use a cycle with the pre-wash and have turned the drying off too.

Try Lidls basic W5 tablets and see if it makes a difference

...and I have another confession

I have even used 1 1/2 teaspoon of normal dishwashing liquid of late as I ran out of tablets...

The one we have in the cupboard doesn't suds very much (Trix for the Aussies) so I thought 'why not'....I've checked part way through the wash part of the cycle and there were next to no suds in the bottom. Everything came out clean too....

...and much more economical to use though I don't intend to make a habit out of it.

Hey Chris,
I have switched from using the "bio" cycle to the normal cycle and there wasnt much difference. Tonight its on a "strong" cycle, with one finish 5 in one tablet it there....i will wait and see what the results are in the morning, its getting very annoying

I can imagine how frustrating it is....

Have you had a moan to the landlord given you are paying rent to have a flat with a dishwasher and it appears to not work properly

Much luck in your new place!

I am truly impressed by the appliances if this is truly a rental. I had assumed you own this flat.

To my untrained "foreign" eyes they appear to be way above BOL shite.

Peace, health, happiness and a positve cash-flow to you now and forever!
