IFA - much like CES in the US - will open end of August in Berlin. As usual, appliance manufacturers will present their newest appliances. Bosch has already some press releases with pictures regarding what they'll show:

Nothing much new for washers - they made them a little more intuitive to use, as they say with a better user logic. The heat-pump dryers will offer a steam function now.

Dishwasher come with a color display, a water consumption of six liters for 13 place settings and a varioSpeed+ function to make cycles 66% faster.

ZoneLess induction cooking with 48 "microinductors" so you can move pans and pots accross the surface and cooktop will keep tracking them:

Fridges will have sensors to read the external temp outside the appliance and adjust the cooling process as well as sensors to control the moisture level in the crisper drawer.

Irons will have i-Temp so you can can iron wool and cotton items without adjusting the temperature.

So much for BSH. Miele hasn't published anything, yet.

Alexander very cool.
BSH has laid off seven of my co-workers in the states including myself.
The traning sessions there was very good and you get to test and eat
really good foods lol.
The marketed at the time...
Bosch
Gaggenau
Thermador
AGA
And great displays.

Im was upset that they took away the large front loaders.
The last was the Active wash systems.
But the 24" models are still here.

Bosch has unique features for cooktops..
I remember there electrec smooth top with the one magnectic knob
and control the whole cooktop.
And you could take the whole knob off for safty with kids and clean up.
I loved to demo it to customers

The induction that you mention sounds interesting that the unit
heats where the pan is.
Do you have any pics yet.. ?
Thanks for posting.
