Hello everybody. Does anybody know about the new GE commercial laundry line? What is their wash action like? What's different about them? They're the direct competitor to the mvwp575 and tc/tr series. Any thoughts. I'd like to know.
I didn't see any videos of these in action.

I can attest to the fact that that style of agitator is great at shredding clothes. The washer in my apartment is the non commercial version of this machine and so far it’s ripped a hole in one comforter, shredded 4 shirts and ripped the zippers off a pair of pants. I’m currently in the process of fighting with the apartments management to get it replaced with a front loader.

Newer Top Load Washers

I would NOT have any new TL washer except possibly a SQ, the TRs are gentile but use a lot of water, The SQ TCs are pretty rough on clothing.

When you compare any TL machine built today to a new SQ FL washer there is just no comparison in performance, durability and easy service.

Not surprised. Honestly, this washer doesn't look much new at all. It's just like their other current top load washers as far as wash action goes. I would much rather have the GTW465ASNWW that my friend has. It's got more features than this one. Overall, I'd still take the SQ TC5 over this.

it looks like any bog standard non washplate GE washer, with commercial styling. guarantee thats the only difference, just like with the maytag "commercial" washer which is a VMW with a few different parts and commercial styling.

Yeah but the Maytag body panels are actually stronger and the wash action is probably the best of all the current belt drive machines. There actually is a difference between that Maytag and Whirlpool's other big box store offerings.

Don't see that here with this "new" GE.

The MT Commercial TL Washer

The cabinet is different and it is a POS, they made the front removable so it looks like it is front serviceable but you can't reach anything with the front removed.

All you get a a multi piece cabinet with lots of exposed edges underneath that will either rattle or rust, the one piece cabinet is really better.

If you look under one of these MTs you can see it was only done so they could claim it had a removable front.

As for these GE [ commercial } washers the performance capacity turnover etc is not impressive, the Mts with the dual action agitator are much better performers.

There’s no such this as a commercial washer anymore sad but true. Speed Queen still makes their coin op machines but their residential machines wash well but as mentioned before have piss poor rinsing since the first spin is slow therefore it doesn’t spin out enough of the soapy water and detergent resulting in suds in the rinse.
