Anyone purchased one of the new GE tower dishwashers?

It looks as if they took out the old part time filter and put a round full time filter under the main wash arm (similar to the auxiliary filter on their dual wash arm models.)

Just happened to see these at Home Depot and was wondering if there is an improvement in performance.

the tower may not scour

Probably is better, but towers cannot clean under the full radius of the top rack like a full size spray arm can.Loading is triple restricted. You can't block the hole where the tower pops up,depending on where bulky items are loaded on the bottom rack, what's right above them may not get "hit" by the spray and a big notch or cutout in the center of the bottom rack further limits capacity.

GE's website doesn't haave a picture of the interior of their new models.

Other than the filter change, they look identical. Hopefully these are still coming from Appliance Park in Louisville.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm still a fan of the "power tower".... although there are advantages to each. I often absentmindedly block the upper wash arm with plates, trays, and more commonly long knives sticking up in the silverware basket.

You almost have to make a concerted effort to block the tower opening on the lower rack as it is so visible. But I do like the added space in the lower rack on my dual wash arm machines.

If anyone goes out and buys one of these, please let all of us know how well the redesign works.
