Well, upon pickup of the 60's hotpoint, John told me i could purchase the 60's era GE V-12 Dryer too. I love them both, now my collection has grown to a wopping 24 machines.

Oh, I am so bloody envious!!

Gongratulations and thank you for the close-up of the GE DA1020X. Your picture has answered a question I've had for years about how that control panel actually looked.

Mazel-freakin'-tov!

Haha

It is the helop of my friends here on AW.org and the wonderful world of thrift shops and school friends!!

Graham, with all those beautiful dryers, you have one "hot" collection. I think it's kinda col you have all these dryers. They seeem to be forgotten. Matched pair are so much more dazzling.

Graham,

These two beauties are wonderful additions to your collection. Just a few weekends ago I asked Robert if he knew of any Hotpoints with the cantilevered panel, and he mentioned that this dryer was the only one to have been found so far ~ and that GE rocks! Enjoy ~

wopping 24 machines

24 machines..................are you trying to piss me off?

its working! (she says to herself staring at the pink screen as she mulls over some peoples luck with old appliances and others poor unfortunant lack of multiple washers and dryers).

:)

My luck stems from not being picky about getting a washer or dryer (& my lovely friends here on AW.org I.E. Rich, Glenn,John:)) I love dryer's they have the same unique styling of the washers and for some reason they just do it for me. I guess it stems from early childhood when my grandma would rap me up in a blanket fresh from the dryer, warm as can be, and smelling of downy. I still like to do that till this day!!
