New Hotpoint Range

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Nice Glass door dryer.
I hope the Vented's do get glass door.
I have noticed the dryers have cuddly toys cycle. I suspecting this is going to be a drying basket-like Indesits shoes cycle. Do you think I am correct?

Thanks for the links and everything:)

Shoe cycle

Indesit dryer shoes cycle about as usless as the shoe cycle in there washers. Have also noticed that white knight have started putting a free flimsy looking shoe rack in there dryers. I just dont like the idea. What a waste of energy to put just a pair of shoes in to dry them. Its just as easy to put them on top of the radiator to dry.

The dryer dries them much faster than the radiator actually, and not all people have radiators you can put things on. My grandma has radiators that are electric and cannot be covered.
Plus they are a good idea these racks, as you can also use them to dry delicate items, you wouldn't normally put in a dryer.

Hey everyone

Just found out, the new Hotpoint 11kg Aqualtis has a drum capacity of 71 litres, 9 litres bigger than the previous Aqualtis drum which was also used in the latest Ultima models (being 62 litres)

:)

Sorry what i should of said was water filled radiators run off a central heating system not a electric storage, oil filled, convector or panel heater. I will check the drying times of the Indesit shoes cycle tomorrow at work. It will be interesting to see how long it lasts for & at what temperature "hi or low" it dries them at.

this is fast becoming a Hotpoint unveiling thread...

I've now seen another new model, this time on the Comet website, a larger 10kg Hotpoint Ultima, which is Polar with a silver door. I was hoping that it had Steam washing, but zooming into the picture I found something interesting, it seems that it haa some sort of 'Auto Clean' programme, is it for the clothes or for maintenance of the machine?

@at everyone discussing the Hotpoint drying system for shoes and wools: I think the machine will have a drying basket, as the door is round but flat at the bottom. Personally I wouldn't tumble dry shoes, as I think the plastics on them wouldn't be able to withstand the hot temperatures of the dryer (a lower temperature would take ages I think) so I'd stick to drying them outside. However I do like the idea of a wools basket as Hotpoint have really been pushing their wool drying, so a basket is the icing on the cake for them, though I've always wondered if wool had to be marketed as dryer safe or not.

The Cleaning action option on this machine, isn't a maintenance cycle, its simply is like indesit primes Smart Button (or a Soil level selector like on previous Ultimas with blue display WT960), It extends or shortens the wash, and adjusts the wash action depending on selected cleaning action.

In Italy, the 11KG Aqualtis manuals are available and they state 71l drums, I am suspecting this Ultima will have a 71l drum also. Looks smart!

I've seen the new Aqualits and Ultima machines the other day at Currys. The Ultima seems pretty sturdy, and the door handle is quite substantial. The detergent draw did seem a bit on the flimsy side though.

The new Aqualits has new curvy paddles with a rectangular base and has "Titanium" embossed on the back.

AT LAST

Hotpoint have FINALLY added the new machines to the website! Still no brochure and old models there for the crossover!

Someone PLEASE buy me the 11kg aqualtis and I will marry you! lol It has a dedicated steam generator that uses steam in the wash like lg at last!

I've been looking at the new range and the manuals, so it's only the aqualtis with the new drum and paddles, 71l capacity. The ultimas are the same size as last year, being 62l and the aquarius+ and aquarius are the same too, being 52l.

Dedicated steam generator, now that's interesting! I've been looking at cycle times in the new aqualtis, they seem pretty long on comparison to my LG, cottons 40oc, 3 hours and 20mins! On the whole, they look much nicer than before and i'm quite impressed with them :)

New Vented dryers

I love the look of those new Hotpoint Aquarius+ Vented Tumble dryers with 8KG, it says EcoTech as well-wondering why as it is still C Energy, however it could be the new load capacity or they have adjusted drying times or something!
It does have a glass door BTW, yet further up this thread I am told they wont have a glass door!

Have been to Currys again!

I couldn't resist when I went to Curry's and saw the new machines. No Aqualtis though. No dryers either and the integrated model hasn't changed yet. My gran said that when her Bosch died she would replace it with one of these machines! There were the older models with sign's on top saying LAST ONE! I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and I saw that they have some new Beko's as well! I wouldn't really buy a Beko after the fridge - freezer fiasco, though my mum's friend has a Beko Washing Machine and my dad's friend a Beko Tumble Dryer. The new Beko on the link is not out yet, but the other new ones looked very similar. I also saw the Curry's Essential's washing machine which has an Ariston-style drum and Siemens door.

I think the massage lifters may not work well

I absolutely love the design of the wave paddles or (Massage as they call them), but I am wondering how well will they lift the load, especially small loads, as they don't look very high. If a small load is being washed, it wont lift the clothes, almost like the Candy ones.

The Titanium drum also looks good, and the print is nice, and it is great to know it is stronger, but Why is it that the Paddles are plastic? They say it is stronger, but plastic is cheap, and wont last as long as metal paddles.

The Aqualtis Dryer Drum & Paddles looks amazing though, I especially love how they still using the UK built drums too(I can tell from the back, even from that picture!)
Just wished the programmes on the dryers, were the same on the washers, I mean they have the cuddly toys, lingerie shirts & jeans on dryers, yet don't on the washers?

Wished they had the brochures-& Dryer Manuals ready, Though I suspect the washer-dryers and the remaining washers & Dryers and pre-haps dishwashers fridges aren't launching until September, so they wont launch brochures until there ready!

:)
