It is already in stock at £719.99 and is ready for the Customers to buy, It says buy it now, and they can deliver it to my house in 2 days. Not that I am buying it.
Yes I bet it will go down in price as you say when the picture is added, but that huge jump up to £700+, that's Siemens prices, no one would buy it if it was that expensive, surely.
 
Comet Prices

Comet prices are all over the place at the moment (at least for laundry appliances). I was looking the other day & they were charging like £200 more for a machine than they were a few weeks ago. They got bought out by a company (possibly a Private Equity Firm) a short while ago, but i think they've been in financial trouble lately.

I would imagine the weird prices are either just mistakes that they could cash-in on or dramatic rises so that they can then reduce them loads & make it look like a great sale, ie 60% off etc.

A shame, as when i've visited their stores local to me, the staff have been leagues ahead of the useless articles they have in Currys.

Wasn't it Curry's that purchased Comet??

I am sure I read somewhere last year that Comet stores could close in 2012, as the latest owners (Curry's) were struggling to make ends meet.
Or could we see them saying at Curry's, Comet & pC world on TV adds??
Maybe I read wrong?

Mat, the Chief Executive heading the consortium that bought Comet is the ex Managing Director of Dixons Stores Group - which owns Currys...

Some stores will follow, however if anyone can turn Comet round, this man and team should be able to, they came on board in 1988 when Dixons bought Currys and DSG had the best years ever!!!
 
Don't worry

Just because Argos have got rid of the Aquarius & Aquarius+ lines, its not going to be the end.
Argos is one of the Catalogue retailers, along with Little wood, kays, next (Also Appliances online), boots etc, that have been given the Style range, limited edition, just like the major retailers have been given Futura, and the minor stores, have been given Experience.
Argos obviously decided Style & Aquarius are too similar, and decided to end the stocking of the Aquarius brand.
 
Finally, an 8KG Vented Tumble Dryer

Based on the Futura line. It looks like standard drum though, not wave drum, but at least they finally launched one. Maybe the Aquarius+ version will launch soon, which feature Anti-Allergy instead of Synthetics 1KG load programme!
Yes both Cottons & Synthetics fast dry are for small loads, I read somewhere it could be max 1KG (I think this is the max capacity of the 7KG Aquarius Vented too).

I think the outrageous pricing is down to the fact that many people class Hotpoint as a medium quality brand, as the likes of Russel hobbs, Beko, haier, HEC, Bush etc have been sitting in the lower down category.
 
Give Hotpoint their does..

They have recently got much better constructed, and are a lot heavier than they were, they also have the improved wash rhythm, while the dryers are made in Britain, and reasonably priced.
The Ultima washer is expensive, because like the Aqualtis it is made in Italy, to high standards. I would happily pay £500 for a Hotpoint, never £500 for a Beko.
 
Introducing Smart Tech (They've still got rid of EcoWash

Futura has now left, it seems, and replaced by Smart Tech.
Looks to be Currys Exclusives, these machines feature an improved text font, removed the symbols for each programme, and have the Cleaning action replaced with Smart Button instead where Super wash is replaced with Performance+ and delicates is replaced with Sprint + (a replacement for Time saver). (Time saver option is replaced with Easy Iron).

I'm not sure how well the Performance+/normal modes will differ from the Current range, but thought I'd share with you anyways.
If anyone works in Curry's/store selling them I'd be great full for real life pictures.
7, 8 & 9KG versions, all 1400rpm, all with brushless motor's. 3 colours options.

This comment isn't meant to be harsh, or cause argument!

Oops - Made a mistake!! Thought they were all 52-54% remaining moisture!!
(its a good job I didn't state it as a fact!)
All (well most!) 1600rpm are actually 44% which is actually very good.

I've noticed as soon as you make a mistake someone comes forward and rectifies you, can be good (as in this case), but at other times, it can be rather annoying.
Why is it though, that no one seems interested in putting a comment forward other than to rectify someone's generally honest mistake??
I thought many would respond to these new Hotpoint machines, but obviously not.
I wont post any more (new ones), as no interest, personally I love 'em. I thought it would also be great for our American friends to see what Europe gets, I love seeing the American designs/concepts after all.

I guess you're all waiting for an actual Design Change???

In my case, these machines aren't something special. The design is not much changed since I know these machines and there are no actual inovations.
For me, they are just one of these several "exclisive" machines being the same just relabled. They are just not my kind of machine...
 
As far as I can see, there's nothing particularly new or interesting about them other than the name change, so that may be why there's not many comments on it. So, yes, I'd be more interested if it were a design change, although this design is better than the one or two previous to it.

As for the corrections - yes, many are honest mistakes, but some people also post inflammatory comments in order to get a response.
 
New Aquarius dryer

Aquarius dryer's have relaunched, with a rather different (Hoover style) control panel.
There's a vented, and condenser models, both in white, Classic Cream (or Almond) or Graphite

Wonder if we'll see some design changes to Aquarius washers, which didn't launch that long ago though really??

My Guess is the vented dryers now come with the Wave Drum (as the Extra care button has been added).
Programme choice is reasonable (like my Experience), the condenser takes Anti-allergy (extra high heat end of drying phase), vented Bed & Bath (variable heat throughout).
Plus 3 cotton (high Heat), 2 synthetic (Med heat), a silk/delicates setting (low heat), a baby setting (less heat, more frequent reverse), shirts (removes creases but doesn't dry completely)and jeans setting (less intense heat).

Can't see what the "Timed drying" say.
