Wow guys, an incredible find... I don't know how to add a link, but go to retrorenovation.com... they have a story and photos of a brand new, in the box full early 60s Caloric Beatrice West pink kitchen... was being thrown away by the family that inherited the house! It includes the wall oven, cooktop, range hood, and sink, all in their original boxes, even with the stickers! And they are selling, so look quick! Awesome!

Nancy that is a totally awesome set, I hope someone gets it who will really appreciate it and take care of it... even having the original boxes and tags are so cool and have to be kept!

That was the SECOND Petrie kitchen. The first was Westinghou

That was only in the pilot Tom which was shot the day President Kennedy wa innauguarated in 1961.....PAT COFFEY

that pilot aired on Nick @ Night a few times and I was able to watch it.  The westinghouse appliances were what was in my other mother's house across the street from our new 1961 house.  But the Westys across the street were in sea foam color.  after seeing what I now know as the pilot a few times, I always thought it was such a comedown for the set that was put togethr didn't have a dishwasher.  Anybody else note that most moderrn family kitchens of the 1960s did not have dishwashers?  I mean the petries, Please Don't eat the Daisies, don't recall seeing one in the Brady;s kitchen, The Cleavers, nor Bob & Emily's chic Chicago high-rise; My Three Sons.  Only exceptions I can think of was The Jeffersons, Maude, and  maybe The Partridge Family.  Donna Stone got one in the last remake of their kitchen when it was all Kenmore Coppertone appliances.   And I don't ever recall any scenes with those dishwahers being used at all.  I mean, it was so cutting edge for the segment in The Big Chill where everyone was helping clean up the kitchen and loading the PowerClean.   I do remember one of the last movies Natalie Wood made with RJ, she had a kitchen with a KDS18 in it and she was actually being seen loading, albeit totally incorrectly.

COOL PINK CALORICS

They either chickened out on the color or more likely the prospect of having a gas wall oven and cook-top with hot smelly constant burning pilots. I would love the have the unused cook-top for the museum if it were the TOL model with the flame with brain burner. I grabbed the TOL brushed chrome cook-top several years ago for the collection, but it is really in bad shape from all the corrosion inside caused by the constant burning pilots.

Thanks for the explanation

Be that as it may, Pat, it was the first Petrie kitchen we saw them in and the Caloric-equipped kitchen was the second. I did not bother looking at the gas appliances much. I don't remember seeing a dishwasher in the gas kitchen. What was it?

I believe some relatives of my mom's--

--...had a gas Caloric wall oven / cook top set, just like that one, too!

Only theirs was chrome, or maybe just stainless steel... At first I didn't think they had a dishwasher, but on one last visit I saw a newer-looking Kitchen Aid also in stainless & it was probably an Imperial or a Patrician...

They went from a single-door Frigidaire fridge (built & backed by General Motors) to a GE Side X Side w/ white wire shelves & no ice maker...

They had a small single door Hudson refrigerator in the basement, a Kelvinator chest freezer, just like my grand mother's (they were her relatives, or at least the lady of the house was a cousin of hers) and the washer & dryer were each Sears Kenmores, in separate rooms, across from one-another (!)
