Well, we're getting new laundry detergents at work. Among the newbies:

Already Out:
Tide Coldwater HE
Tide w/Downy Lavender
Tide w/Downy HE powder
Purex liquids in a standard 150 oz. bottle

and a interesting one:

Purex Coldwater Alpine Fresh

I bought the Purex Coldwater liquid. It smells good and is formulated for front and top loaders.

FINALLY, a new Tide of actual value: Coldwater HE. Have waited a long time for that one to drop. Although I've always used non-HE Coldwater in my front-loader, I'll certainly switch to the HE version if it cleans as well.

Coldwater HE

It seems to be selling more than the regular Mountain Spring Coldwater variant that we sell. I bought the 150 oz. bottle two months ago. It works brilliantly.

I bought the Tide with a Touch of Downy April Fresh H.E. powder I cannot wait to use it.I am glad to see that they are offering more powder H.E. detergents.

Only warm or hot water will remove body mites---

Yall keep goin' with those cold water washes.IT WILL NOT REMOVE THE DEAD BODY MITES OFF YOUR LAUNDRY!!!Youy'll notice dark spots in your clothes from the mites in your arm pits and crotch. Anywhere you grow pubic hair.I know a customer who will not wash with cold water due to her severe alergy to body mites staying in her clothes without being washed in warm or hot water. She almost died from a laundromat that took her wash in and washed it in cold water instead of warm.P&G is only marketing these products to make themselves look like they're energy conservitive. Beware consumers, beware.

^^^LOL^^^

ive been using alot of coldwater for years and have no problems excpet for whites and sheets anyways,

Has anyone used that new eco friendly brand called "ecos" we picked up a jug at costco looks like cooking oil its a clear bottle and a clear liquid. researched it online the brand makes many cleaning products that are eco friendly we shall see between purex's new 2x ultra liquid is better than the watery crap they used to make

More News:

There are two new items that I'm trying to investigate:

Gain High-Sudsing
Ariel

Ariel Oxyanillos was deleted and replaced. I will try to find out if the new iteration is either w/ phosphates or phosphate-free.

Purex Natural Elements Citrus & Aloe: A light citrus fragrance with a hint of Aloe.

We're getting the All Small & Mighty line in 50 oz. bottles now

And a GV detergent in a Mandarin fragrance is out too.

We had done extensive test with cold water washing here

all lab controlled and every test pc. was tested. We found that water temperature has very little to do with removal of bacteria. What has the most effect is wash action. Over loading a machine by as little as 1 lb had great effect on the bacteria removed from a load. The type of detergent had NO effect on bacteria removal at all. The cheapest did as well as the most expensive. Detergent was for soil and stain removal. We also found that adding as little as 1 oz of Chlorine bleach even in cold water brought the culture test of the bacteria used and (a number of different ones were used.) to almost nothing. The lab used 27 different well known strains for the test. Test were done in 20 . 30 50 & 150LB machines. The larger the machine the more effect it had on removal of all the bacteria. IE wash action is the key to bacterial removal. Test were done with water from 60 to 160 and low levels and high levels. As one would expect the low levels left much more bacteria on the load than the higher levels did. Unless chlorine was used. then it made little difference. But even then a higher ppm was needed in the smaller machines than the larger to kill all the bacteria..

New Ariel & Gain High Sudsing

Well, we don't have it on our shelves. I've heard that it's out at the dist. warehouse, so it's debut will have to wait. We only carry Foca, Ariel & Gain High Sudsing. We did carry a bag version of Sun's Lavender detergent. It didn't sell good. We don't have two items: Surf w/Baking Soda and Clorox's Green Works.

Gain with Baking Soda

We only carry it in the 100 oz. 2x liquid. It may still be carried in some stores. My store doesn't carry (non-HE) Tide Coldwater Original nor Era, but the Broomfield store carries it and more. I go there for the 150 oz. Coldwater.
