About a week ago they delivered my new Kenmore Elite front load washer and gas dryer made by LG. I have to admit that it washes and dries bigger loads than anything else I have ever used, outside of a commercial laundromat machine. I washed and dried a king size feather comforter in it first thing and it came out quite well. I did have to reposition it in the dryer a couple of times, but it dried very nicely and was fluffy and clean. The front load washers really do a good job cleaning and with much less water. This one has all kinds of cycles and is very quiet when it runs. I wiill miss my top loaders, but they went to someone who needed them. The top load high efficiency washers seem to tangle and twist the clothes pretty excessively from what I have seen and create a linting problem. With this front loader I have virtually no lint at all on anything. It seems to be very gentle on clothing, but cleans well. What could be better? I will always love all the old top load machines and have lots of magazine ads of them in frames in my laundry room. In the early years of automatic washers there were certainly some interesting ways of washing clothes. I will always appreciate the creativity of some of those machines. I guess I have finally joined the 21st century.

Forgot something...

I forgot that I had them stack the dryer on top of the washer, so I save room and it is soooo easy to take things out of the dryer and just hang them as I go.

I love my LG made front loader

Glad you love your new washer!

I have an LG made Kenmore front loader and I love it too! I've got a Kenmore 796.4127
Mine does not have an internal heater but I have a point of use water heater in the laundry that heats the water to 140 degrees, and I also increased the water level on the washer. As-is the washer cleaned fine, but rinsing was not the best and since I like to line dry my clothes, fabric softener is a MUST (but I worry about fab. softener buildup in my machine causing damage to the drum support spider.)! After slight adjustments to the water level switch (2 3/4 turns) there is no trace of my detergent after the rinsing and wash results are awesome. I have never had any problems with bad smells in my washer. I use Xtra for my dog bedding/shop towels and other nasty stuff, Ariel (or tide pods when I have them) for clothing, and Foca for my Whites. I do 1-2 loads daily (gym clothes do not like to set in the hamper... nor do I like the smell while they wait!). I run the clean washer cycle with bleach every other month on the 1st day of the month (that probably sounds weird, hehe) and leave the door ajar when not in use.
I have a dog that sheds a lot and this washer does an amazing job of removing the hair from EVERYTHING! (pics of my furry friend attached)

New FL Washer and Dryer

Glad you like your new laundry appliances, my only comment as a servicer is you may be sorry that you stacked them when you need service. It becomes a huge PITA when anything goes wrong with the washer as it immediately turns most jobs into a two man affair.

Good Luck with your new machines and enjoy the savings in water and energy.

L.G IMHO has taken the lead from many strong competitors by making simplicity a factor in design and performance as well as dependability the others. I have a set too along with two other sets not as big but just as great. These bad boys truly get clothes cleaner then ANY of the many ones I've had. Hands down . I had tar on an old t shirt and was just washing it with other white clothes adding bleach and using the Sanitary Wash with a pre wash and extra rinse. I went out shopping and , thinking nothing of the tar stains I got from riding my bike in it YEARS AGO,I went to hang the wash and saw that the entire set of tar stains were gone!! You should have seen, the stains were actually pieces of the #### spotted on the back and sleeves of it. I had peeled some off but most were still intact. Not anymore. I wash dog beds, sleeping bags,6'x .5' runners, car mats, king size bed clothes skirt included, down or acrylic with great results. Makes my Duets look like junk. I and I'm sure many others here, would love to see LG introduce a 5.1 cu ft drum combination washer/dryer!!

Well, the reason I got those particular ones was because they had such huge capacity and I had just replaced everything in the kitchen with Kenmore Elite appliances that all match.
