There is a secondary dryness control that could be preset by the user, to "customize" the dryness........

This model has the infamous lint storage bags.........seemed like a good idea at the time, but never really caught on.....Luckily I have a couple of spare bags.......so far they dont seem to catch much lint.........

Programmed Dryer Control Buttons.....strangely the dryer does have an "OFF" button which advances the timer to "OFF". The washer does not have this........

Dryer Drum, with light near the bottom of the drum........again, all porcelain......

This is one of the most complicated washer and dryer sets Ive ever worked on.........And are incredibly heavy.......
I documented some of the restoration on the washer, which took me about 2 weeks.......I will post them on another thread sometime soon........

I saw that same "All Porcelain" sticker on Greg's 1960 Kenmore dryer last weekend and thought that would make for a very fun tatoo!

Congrats on the Ladies, Jimmy! You said in August that you wanted a nice Kenmore set and now you have it - and then some! I love rapid-advance timers. Larry had a bunch of old, rebuilt timers in the back of his store when we were there, you might look for parts or the whole timer while they're still around. Timers are getting to be scarce, especially for these older machines.

How is the dryer controlled? Does it have a timer or is it all controlled with temperature and resistors like the 1960?

Love the stickers still on the cabinets too!
