I wonder if it's down to the fact that very large drummed machines have difficulty balancing small loads?
It does seem to be a bit of a gimmick though.
However, at least you can't blame LG for trying to do something different - at least it isn't boring!

You can definitely get the gas versions here in Ireland, although they're relatively obscure.

7 cu ft SpeedQueen nautral gas dryer. Kinda pricy for what it is though €1,069.00 5.7kW
