If these are anything like the drop down Kenmores (I think they are) you quite possible have the best designed dryer ever built in terms of overall performance, speed, parts, durability and repair. Kenmore put these on their higher end models, often with electronic dryness control, and they were well liked and respected. That model has the interior light, a big plus. I have the top filter Whirlpool Maytag version, and while I love it, never liked the filter located or that fuzzies that go all over the place when pulled out. If you are thinking of getting this, don't hesitate. Personally I would seriously consider this over a Speed Queen dryer in terms of the drop down door and performance. Regardless what people say about modern appliances, modern Whirlpool dryers are practically identical in every regard to their vintage counter parts in performance and design. Parts are very, very plentiful. In fact modern Whirlpool dryers are the only modern thing I can't gripe over- so much so I plan on keeping my current Maytag for some time despite being a die hard vintage and Speed Queen washer fanatic.
