happy Easter to all! I have been lurking on here for the past several months reading different threads. Reading about older Frigidaire and Maytag washers have brought back memories of my childhood.

Also I'm amazed how many members on here collect older GE filter flo washers. My mom used to work for GE in the appliance division so I got very familiar with seeing all the different parts such as the pumps, agtitators and transmissions. This goes back to the late 70s until she retired in 1992.

I remember back when my parents bought a new Hotpoint washer and dryer in the fall of 1984. I thought it was the coolest washer bacause it had 2 agitators. The large one slipped over the smaller "handwash" one. I'm going to try and post a pic of that set.

John, welcome, and gld ya finally emerged form the laundry closet. Thanks for posting the Hotpoint. May I request inside tub shots and good panel shots on both machines so I can see the features? I like features lol.

Hi again, I wish I had that Hotpoint pair today. Unfortunately my parents sold the house in 93 and it was left with the house. I'd have to say that picture has to be 20 years old.

I do remember the washer didn't have that filter GE had that sits on top the agitator. Instead it had a plastic ring that went around the top of the tub. That was the filter plus as the washer was filling up, the water would pour out all around which I thought was neat! Thanks again for welcoming me! :)
