The contras ......

First of all the racking : it officially is rated as a 12 place setting machine but IMHO a regular DW can fit more items

Energy consumption it's one of the few european DW rated "B" for energy efficiency (all the others are "A" or even "A+")

Also the price is a big downside : it costs as a Miele La Perla if not even more

As for interior lights yes they have as many of the TOL models in AEG-Elecrolux and Zanussi-Electrolux DW ranges

Have a light in my AEG and mostly wish I didn't. After the wash I like to leave the door ajar for things to cool and dry off a bit more. But being energy/bulb conscious I don't like the light to be left on so I can only open it a tiny bit.
That aside, having the light does look pretty cool!

Ps. I do miss my Miele with it's fabulous cutlery tray though....... but moved into a new apartment with new appliances and the Minister for War & Finance has not approved my request to change a perfectly good German dishwasher for another perfectly awesome German dishwasher!
