Just received today a brochure from Miele with the new washers and driers.
For the first time (I guess) they made 6 kg machines.
They look quite like the same the precedent series, but they have special programs like "Jeans", "Shirts", "Dark clothes" that since now only the superiors models had.
The spin is 1600 rpm for both twe two new machines, for the italian market at least (model W3248 and W3365 WPS).
I discovered that they also produce a special machine named "Mediwash" with special programs for deep washing for allergic people (also for pillows).
Bye :)

The medicwash as it's called overhere has three high level rinses as a minimum and can do up to five high level rinses. It has a special "Hygiene" cycle in which the set temperature is longer maintained than in the normal Miele washers. The "Hygiene" cycle also uses more water in the wash. The machine also has special cycles for pillows and one for new clothes (for removing chemicals from new clothes).

There is also a medicdry dryer with a special filter. This dryer even comes with a special attachment to clean the lintscreens.

Medicwash

Foralouysius, you know everything about Medicwash!
About the cost, in Italy it's 1.590 euro.
Not so much, if you think that the "Navitronic" is little less than 2.000 :(
As Foralouysius said, it features 4 special cycles: Cotton medicwash at 60°c and 90°c, pillows at 60°c and 90°c and new clothes at 30°c.
It also has a button to add an extra rinse, delay timer, indication of detergent amount to use for the specific load. It looks like others Miele machines, but with some extra buttons and a green cross on the panel!

Allerwash

I looked that up on www.miele.ie (Miele Ireland) and compared with (www.miele.fr) Medicwash is called Allerwash in Ireland and the UK. Perhaps the same term is used in the USA.
The French and Irish model numbers were the same. Just the term Medicwash was replaced by Allerwash.

Allerwash meaning that it's specially for those with allergies and fully removes dust mites etc etc.
