I recently remodeled my apartment with a new kitchen, new bath and a updated laundry area. Instead of getting another combo witch all seem to have problems from what I have been reading, I decided to go with the Miele stacked washer and dryer. The washer is the same size as the LG combo I had 24". It does take a decent size load but is not gigantic like a lot of various washers out there! The washer is wxi860wcs which has tons of cycles and auto dos detergent dispenser. The dryer is txi680wp with steam option and is a heat pump that runs off 120 volt. It does pretty good for a 120 volt dryer. I have done a full load of bath towels in 90 minutes or less. Their is so much to learn - I went to Miele headquarters in Prinstin NJ and got educated. They admitted the machine isn't easy to learn.
Their is so many options within settings. I programed the rinse water level to be higher which really gets the clothes cleaner and rinsed better. I bought 2 more cartridges of detergent while I was at Miele. I programed the washer to use the least amount of detergent which seems to be enough. My clothes aren't that dirty and I have soft water here in NY! I have used the normal cycle a number of times. It works very well. I tried bright whites cycle twice, it boosts the water temp to extra hot (great for towels). The washer will add a additional rinse if it senses to much suds. That did happen once. I have used the quick intensive cycle a few times for a set of queen sheets. It is a 49 minute cycle but doesn't spin very long. It will also try to spin while its trying to wash to quicken up the process of sauntering the laundry. One thing I dont like is the washer will shake when it tries to spin at times. But once it picks up speed it spins smoothly! I tried the delicate and dress shirts cycles. They work well also.
I was wondering if anyone else has experience with Miele and can add some tips.
Thanks Peter
