Hi guys

I had been thinking about getting another everyday dryer as I hate the modern Hoover one I have and it does not work properly anyway. Plus it's a condensor (well it's not now as that does not work). I wanted a vented dryer. Was not sure though as trying to keep the machines in the collection to a minimum.

Well went to the junkyard for my usual look around and there was an old Zanussi dryer and matching washer!

I wasn't sure what to do as I have never had a Zanussi dryer or seen one in action. I left it for a week and went back yesterday thinking if it was sold then fair enough.

Well it was still there so I must have been meant to get it.
Im tempted with the washer but don't have the funds. ( a blessing really as would be in serious trouble if I brought it home).

May I introduce the Zanussi Z 910R (without lid in the pic)

I set about cleaning it up and looking inside as was very interested on the internal workings set up.

I remembered to take some pics along the way for you guys.

When I first got it the filter was totally clogged and full of lint. How any air flow got through ill never know. The belt pulley sqeaked but that was an easy fix. Apart from that all it needed was a bloody good clean.

Im very pleased with it. The only thing that was a bit of a dissapointment was the reversing. It runs for 3.50 minutes clockwise and only 10 seconds anticlockwise. I suppose it's not too bad considering it only runs clockwise for 3.50 as it could have been a lot worse and run for 10 mins in that direction with only 10 seconds anticlockwise.
