Most of the theaters and TV stations around here used Strand

With a few Kliegls here and there. But ever since ETCs emergence as a huge lighting equipment manufacturer, all the new installations in the area are ETC.

With their HQ just down the road in Middleton, we get quick tech support.

One of the stations here in Greenville had rather old Kleigal equipment-no dimmers-and the modern Kleigal setup I saw was in a TV statioon in Wash DC-this was in the late 70's though-sure they have changed it out by now-the station has also replaced their transmitters since then.Nowadays stations replace equipment more frequently than before-it used to be that major station items were going to be used for at least 20-40yrs-now it lucky to be used for 10 yrs.
